There is a specific moment we live for here at vanconcept. It’s not just handing over the keys; it’s receiving that first photo back from the client, showing their new rig out in its natural habitat - the wild!

This week, Nick made our day. He sent over a stunning shot of his newly completed CRUX Sprinter out in the wilds, doing exactly what it was built to do - having fun in! It looks absolutely wicked against a rugged backdrop, a true testament to the vision he brought to us.
While the finished photograph looks effortless, we wanted to take a moment to pull back the curtain on this build. A van that looks this good and performs this reliably out in the middle of nowhere is the result of hundreds of hours of obsession over the smallest details.
Here is a closer look at Nick’s incredible CRUX Sprinter.

The Art of Invisible Precision
Before we list the impressive components in Nick’s build, it’s important to understand how they got there.
At vanconcept, we believe that true quality isn't just about what you see; it's about what you don't. It’s about the wiring looms hidden behind panels that are meticulously wrapped and secured to prevent even the slightest rattle on a washboard road. It's about the millimeter-perfect scribing of cabinets to match the gentle curves of the Sprinter’s walls.
We sweat the small stuff so our clients don’t have to. Every bolt, every join, and every seal is inspected obsessively. We know that when Nick is miles from civilization, he needs to trust that his build was assembled with the utmost care and attention. That peace of mind is our real product.

The Interior: Modular Flexibility
Opening the sliding door reveals the heart of the build: our signature CRUX modular framework. This system provides a robust, rattle-free skeleton that allows for a clean, architectural finish inside the van.
Nick opted for the full suite of CRUX components to create a highly functional living space:
CRUX Kitchen Unit: Sleek, durable, and ready for campground gourmet meals.
CRUX Panel Bed: Maximizing sleeping space without compromising garage storage underneath, plus can be set at ANY height.
Double Swivel Seat Base: Instantly transforming the cab into a comfortable lounge area.
Overhead Locker Storage: Utilizing vertical space for essential gear storage.

Crucially, the foundation of this interior is an M1-certified floor system. This isn't just about a level surface; it’s about certified safety. The integrated rail system allows for the secure mounting of his rock and roll bench/bed, offering the ultimate flexibility to move the seating arrangement forward or backward depending on his load-out for the trip, or even completely removed.

The Off-Grid Powerhouse
A van that looks this rugged needs the systems to back it up. Nick needs to stay off-grid for extended periods without worrying about power anxiety.
The electrical heart of this Sprinter is the robust Ecoflow Delta 2. This integrated powerhouse manages charging from both the van’s alternator while driving (at 650W!) and the sun (up to 400W) when parked. It seamlessly powers all the on-board necessities: the 12V/USB outlets, 240V sockets for bigger appliances, the kitchen hob, the fridge, and the essential diesel heater for those chilly mountain nights - we manufacture our own cradles to securely mount both the deisel heated under the van aswell as a power station in place to ensure it doesn't move and is well protected.

The Exterior: Built for Purpose
Externally, Nick’s Sprinter is an absolute beast. The aesthetic is aggressive but entirely functional, designed to handle whatever the trail throws at it.
Up top, we fitted our vanconcept Roof Rack, providing the perfect platform for a massive 400W Solar Panel array to keep that Ecoflow topped up. We also integrated a Maxxfan Deluxe for climate control and a set of powerful Lazer Lamps ST6 lightpods to turn night into day on dark trails.
Around the back, it features our own vanconcept Wheel Carrier/Ladder combo, ensuring the spare is accessible and roof access is easy. Finally, the entire look was grounded with a stunning set of Rouge Alloys, giving the van the perfect stance.
Another CRUX on the Road
Seeing the final result of Nick’s build—a perfect marriage of our CRUX modular systems, rugged exterior upgrades, and meticulous craftsmanship—is incredibly satisfying.
It looks awesome, it’s built to last, and it’s ready for adventure.
Thanks for choosing vanconcept to bring your vision to life, Nick. We can’t wait to see where the road takes you next!
